The entry-level AMD option starts at ₹75,000, equipped with a Ryzen 5 7530U chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. Our reviewed unit, however, escalates the performance with an eight-core, 2.0GHz Ryzen 7 7730U CPU, accompanied by a memory boost to 16GB and storage expanded to 512GB.

Design, Dimension & Weight

Characterized by its compactness and lightweight build, the Zenbook 14 OLED epitomizes the ultraportable category, boasting dimensions of only 0.67-inches in thickness and just surpassing the 3-pound threshold.

Despite its slender profile, the metal chassis of the Zenbook 14 OLED impresses with its remarkable sturdiness and absence of flex, showcasing an aluminium build adorned in what ASUS dubs as Jade Black-a near-black finish that exudes elegance. Although initially perplexing, given the association of jade with green hues, the laptop actually emanates a subtle brown tint. In fact, during the course of this review, I stumbled upon the existence of a mineral called black jade, which encompasses various shades, including a deep black with hints of brown and earthy tones.

The Zenbook 14’s robustness belies its slim form factor, thanks to its sturdy construction. ASUS has subjected this laptop to 12 MIL-STD-810H military-grade tests, ensuring its resilience against shock, vibration, temperature fluctuations, and even exposure light, sand and dust. While it may not withstand the extreme conditions endured by rugged laptops, it’s certainly equipped to handle the rigors of daily office use or occasional travels, standing ready to weather bumps and spills with ease.

In line with ASUS’s signature design approach, the Zenbook features a riser hinge mechanism that elevates the system to a slight angle when opened. This not only enhances airflow underneath the chassis but also lends the keyboard a more ergonomic typing position. Adding a touch of elegance, the hinge is adorned with a slivery accent. Moreover, for added versatility, the lid can be fully opened to a 180-degree angle, allowing the laptop to lay completely flat.

Keyboard & Touchpad

The keyboard on the Zenbook provides a comfortable typing experience, boasting well-spaced keys with a subtle concave shape that gently curves each keycap. Adding to its convenience, the power button integrates a built-in fingerprint reader, ensuring effortless and secure logins.

Meanwhile, the touchpad serves a dual purpose, functioning as a numeric pad when needed-simply press the num pad icon in the corner, and the touchpad illuminates with an LED grid of numbers. While it may lack the tactile feedback of a physical numeric keypad, it’s a clever and appreciated addition for occasional data input.

Ports

So based on our firsthand experience, we can confidently say that this ASUS laptop consists of a healthy handful of ports and this will surely be beneficial for the users because hey! more ports means more connectivity. We will list down all the ports featured in the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED Review.

  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type – A port
  • Micro SD card reader
  • 2 USB Type – C port
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • HDMI 2.1 Port

I would say that this laptop has an excellent port selection and you’ll definitely have no issues regarding the ports whatsoever.

Display

Ultimately, the Zebook’s standout feature isn’t its cahassis or connectivity options, but rather its stunning 14-inch OLED display. Encases within an almost invisble NanoEdge bezel, the touchscreen boasts a slightly taller-than-average 16:10 aspect ratio and a crisp 2880×1800 pixel resolution.

With an impressive 90% screen-to-body ratio, the display appears larger than its 14-inch size and delivers outstanding visuals, enhanced by Pantone-validated color accuracy and DCI-P3 support, along with the durability of a Gorilla Glass touch overlay.

Furthermore, its 90Hz refresh rate ensures smooth performance, making it ideal for viewing fast-paced videos or indulging in light gaming sessions. Since this laptop has an OLED display, which means you’re gonna have an exquisite time watching 4k videos/movies.

The contrast, colour accuracy, and everything seems extremely impressive and top notch based on our firsthand experience, we can say that you’re gonna be extremely impressed with this laptop if you’re a content creator who uses lightroom, photoshop frequently.

Furthermore, the brightness of this laptop is 550 nits which again is super impressive, so guys drawing from our experience we can surely state that this laptop has a jaw dropping display and you’re gonna have absolutely no issues regarding the display.

Battery

Now as far as battery life is concerned, we got excellent results and this laptop surely has great battery life. This laprop will easily last for over 8+ hours while perfrorming low demanding tasks such as watching movies, surfing the internet etc.
